The Camelot Copper Finial: About the FinishOur finials are available in a bright polished copper finish. If you desire to keep the polished finish looking new, we recommend applying a coat of clear lacquer or polyurethane. The finials are purposely not treated in the factory so they will start to naturally tarnish. At first, the finish will darken, like an old copper penny. Then, after several years, the surface will begin to bloom with a beautiful natural green/blue patina.
The Camelot Copper Finial: Attaching a FinialAll you need is a screwdriver since all the parts slide easily onto a rod and are secured by setscrews. Detailed, easy to understand instructions are included. For areas where strong gusty winds are the norm, we recommend you apply a thread locker, like "Loctite," to bond the rod threads and screw threads. Once assembled, these beautiful finials are yours to enjoy for many years to come.
